How does mall nanny work?
We offer drop in child care for guests of the Vancouver Mall, and children may stay up to three hours. A parent can come by at any time that Mall Nanny is open with no appointment needed, and bring in their child/children as long as we are not at full capacity. We offer hourly rates, with discounts after the first child, as well as cheaper by the hour rates if you take advantage of more than one hour. At check in, you will be given the time that you will need to return by. For example, if a parent checks in their child at 10:00am, they will have up until 1:00pm before they need to come to pick up their child. The parent may use that entire amount of time if they wish, or only use what they need, but our rates start at the one hour mark, and payment is collected at check out.
is it safe for my kids?
Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. Our "nannies" have passed background and criminal checks, are CPR certified and are handpicked to be the best people to care for your children. They are experienced in working with children of all ages and the play space is completely enclosed from the rest of the mall, and is full of child safe toys and activities. We also ensure a Two Step Safety Check system for children leaving the premises at check out.
What is needed to check in my child?
We ask that you as the parent or guardian fill out our registration form for your child and sign our waiver for your child's first visit and your waiver will remain on file with us. After your first visit, you will need to check in by getting a matching wristband for you and your child/children, and signing in on our daily attendance list. We will also need to photocopy your Drivers License or ID (or take your picture) at check in for when you return for check out, and you will need to provide us with a working cell phone number.

No other family members may be allowed to check out a child, other than the original parent/guardian who originally checked in the child.

We can change diapers and assist children with bathroom breaks in our private bathroom that is located in our space. We also provide back up clothing if an accident occurs for a small fee.

We do take steps to help you remember your return time such as writing the time on your wristband, and offering a reminder text.
